*PLEASE NOTE: Completing an application signifies your interest in living on HIU's campus and will add you to our application list. It does not guarantee acceptance or availability within our residence halls. 

Only applicants who submit their Housing Application, CSA, and Pastoral Reference Form will be added to our Non-HIU Housing Application List. If you have not completed and submitted all three forms, your application will be viewed as incomplete. 

Communication -  Our Housing Team is limited in availability. You can expect a confirmation email once your full application is complete and you have been added to our waitlist. You will only receive a second email if your application has been accepted and there is housing availability. For further information, please completely read our FAQ Form.

Room and Meal Plan

*Please note : HIU has a $650 per semester Student Service Fee that is charged to any students living on-campus. This fee covers the cost of the various student services provided for those living in the dormitories (WiFi, our Operations Team for room repairs, dorm events, etc..).

*Please Note - Our meal plans run the 16 week HIU semester. If your university start date, break times, or end of semester differs from HIU, students will be responsible for meals during said time.   
All students living on campus are required to have a meal plan.

*Meal Plan Accommodations will not be accepted after the Good Standing Withdrawal Period End date. This date changes each semester and can be found in the Student Handbook or Academic Calendar (https://www.hiu.edu/undergraduate-on-campus/academics/academic-calendar.php).

Parking
Please indicate if you want a HIU parking pass. Any student bringing a car onto campus will need a parking pass in order to park in any of our HIU lots. If you indicate you would like a parking pass, you will receive an additional form to fill out before receiving your pass. Contact our Student Affairs office, studentlife@hiu.edu, if you have any additional questions regarding parking.

Pastoral Reference Form
For all new non-HIU dorm applicants, we require a pastoral reference form. This allows our Housing team to get a better understanding or our applicants' character. You can access this form linked below. Your application will not be considered complete until this form is submitted to housing@hiu.edu. *If you have lived on campus at HIU previously, you do not need to submit this form*
Non-HIU Resident Community Standards Agreement
All students residing in the dorms and attending HIU must turn in a Community Standard Agreement. By signing this agreement, students commit to pursuing the challenge of living a life defined by a higher standard and dedicated to biblical principles that reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ. Please submit a signed copy of this form to housing@hiu.edu. 

Proof of Registration 
HIU only provides residential housing for actively enrolled students. "Proof of Registration" may consist of a copy of a student's upcoming academic schedule, or an official Proof of Enrollment document provided by the University or College.   Your application will not be considered complete until an accurate and up-to-date proof of registration for the UPCOMING semester is submitted to housing@hiu.edu. *If you have lived on campus at HIU previously, you must still upload proof of registration for the current upcoming semester.*

Disclosure of Changes in College Registration and Status   
By completing and submitting this application form, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions regarding the disclosure of changes to my college registration and status: 

Obligation to Disclose Changes: I understand that I am required to inform the Housing Office of any changes to my college registration or enrollment status, including but not limited to any modifications in my academic standing, such as suspension or expulsion, pending disciplinary matters, or other significant alterations in my status at my respective university or college. 

Notification Requirement: I agree to notify the Housing Office via email at housing@hiu.edu within two business days, of any such changes. This includes, but is not limited to, any changes in enrollment status, pending disciplinary actions, or other relevant updates concerning my academic standing or registration. 

Accuracy and Timeliness: I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to provide accurate and timely information regarding these changes. Failure to disclose such changes within the specified time frame will jeopardize my housing status for future semesters and/or may result in loss of housing immediately.  

Responsibility for Updates: I understand that it is my sole responsibility to monitor and maintain my enrollment and status information, and to ensure that any necessary updates are communicated promptly to the Housing Office. 

By proceeding with this application, I consent to these terms and understand the importance of complying with the disclosure requirements set forth. I agree to fulfill my obligation to report any relevant changes as described above. 


Terms and Conditions  

I/We affirm that I/we have read the HIU Student Handbook, HIU Housing Guide, and HIU Housing Application and understand that failure to comply with the terms and conditions listed may be grounds for disciplinary action, immediate loss of campus housing, or eviction. When a student’s contract is revoked as a result of disciplinary action, it does not automatically release the student from financial obligations.


I understand that I must adhere to the provisions outlined in this agreement, and in the most current version of the HIU Student Handbook (available online) at all times, whether on or off campus and during all school breaks. Failure to abide by these policies will result in immediate removal from campus housing and termination of the housing agreement without refund.
